The training we used is developed and currently delivered by Child Bereavement UK, our partner charity.
One of the best quality training courses I have ever attended in my 30 plus years of practice. Professionally led and sensitively managed. We were supported and challenged to develop our knowledge and self-awareness. The group were superb and were enabled to work together really well by the course leaders.
Please note we will only take referrals directly from the family, child or young person themselves. This will be Via the Child Bereavement UK Helpline 0800028840.
What can we offer?
We advise professionals who have been recently bereaved to consider whether they are ready to undertake our training. It may be more helpful to you to come after more time has elapsed.
Schools & Colleges
When a student dies in a school or is bereaved or a member of staff it is a huge shock to the whole community connected to the institution. How it is handled can make a huge difference to how everyone copes. Teachers are expected to know what to do but they can often feel out of their depth too.
When a family with complex needs faces bereavement it can be extremely challenging for them and for the team supporting them. They are often the families least well resourced to deal with the challenges that face them. It can be hard to know how best to support them.
