GROUP WORK VOLUNTEER - MID WILTSHIRE NEST

We are currently looking to recruit group volunteers to help run our 11 – 18yr olds NEST bereavement support programme in Wiltshire (venue just outside Trowbridge). 

Designed to meet the needs of grieving young people, NEST uses creative activities to provide participants with the opportunity to explore thoughts, feelings and coping strategies alongside their peers.

Each NEST programme consists of 6 Wednesday evenings and is held 2/3 times a year.

GROUP WORK VOLUNTEER - SWINDON FAMILY GROUP

We are currently looking to recruit group volunteers to help run our 6 - 11yr olds Family Group bereavement support programme in Swindon. 

The programme provides bereaved families with the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings together, and alongside others who have also lost special people, through crafts & practical activities.

Each Family Group programme consists of 4 Saturdays and is held 3 times a year. There is also an intensive 1 day version 'A Day to Remember' which is held twice annually.

TRUSTEE

We are currently looking for trustees to work with our board. Whether you have experience or are just starting out as a volunteer within the charity sector, we would be delighted to hear from you. In particular, if you have experience working with young people, or within education, health, strategy, finance or human resources, your expertise could be vital.

We currently have 2 vacancies in particular that need to be filled (below). For further information please see Volunteer Trustee Role Description. 

PR Marketing & Fundraising: You may be a fundraiser for a charity or manage fundraising as part of your corporate social responsibility. Perhaps you come from a marketing background? How ever you have gained your experience, we want to hear from you if you are energetic, can think outside the box and have the time and passion to help drive our charities fundraising efforts.

  • Energise volunteers and trustees to undertake or oversee a coordinated range of community fundraising initiatives.
  • Work with our Business Director, develop and implement the marketing plan for Wiltshire Treehouse.
  • Assist the charity with introduction to potential corporate sponsorships and support.

Service Delivery Support: Are you an experienced service director, headteacher charity director or similar from a private or local authority provider? Then we would love you to join our team. We seek an experienced and knowledgeable individual to provide guidance for our service delivery team.

  • Line manage Service Director, providing supervision and appraisal within the year.
  • Provide guidance to service development and charity growth.
  • Working with our directors to assist with service evaluation and quality assurance of the organisation.

Trustees need to be able to attend meetings every 6 weeks.
